About comprehensive hygiene
Professional comprehensive dental and oral hygiene is necessary to prevent dental problems. In our clinic, it is recommended before any dental treatment. Professional hygienic procedures are also mandatory for patients who have braces: in order not to damage their teeth with plaque, they should come for cleaning once every three months.
Professional oral hygiene includes:
- exposure to ultrasound (removes tartar);
- Air Flow method (removes plaque);
- polishing (creates a smooth surface to reduce the number of microbes);
- tooth remineralization:
a) fluorination (coating with such agents as Duraphat varnish, Gelato, bifluoride, Fluocal);
b) application of calcium preparations (for example, Tooth Mousse).
